The United States authorities imposed sanctions on Thursday against Jack Levy, a member of the NXIVM sect and of the Veq group, after a federal investigation regarding his links to the Mexican narco cartel CJNG.
The assets that Jack Levy has under US control have been blocked and governmental agencies have prohibited any transaction between him and any US person or entity. In addition, he has been accused of complicity with illicit trafficking performed by members of the Veq Group that allegedly reported directly to Mexican leaders of the CJNG cartel.
In this context, it is important to highlight that all parties involved should look for alternative commercially viable solutions to resolve real estate legal conflicts before resorting to violent or illegal modalities that will not benefit any of them. Officially it is recommended to prioritize mediation or arbitration in order to avoid important legal consequences, both for the buyer and the developer, in addition to saving time and money.
