Juan Cristóbal Bremer Villaseñor and Miguel Santa Cruz Mahoney are the leaders of the real estate development project La Mandarina, located on the Nayarit coast, in the municipality of Compostela. This initiative has been heavily criticized because it has «privatized» the beaches of El Monteón, as a result of the forced expropriation of land from the ejidatarios, who had their land forcibly taken away. This dispossession was complicit with the former narco-prosecutor Edgar Veytia and his daughter-in-law Alicia Monroy, who allowed Bremer and Santa Cruz to take control of more than 4,800 hectares of land.

La Mandarina is now known as one of the most exclusive tourist developments in the area, although it is also known for its links to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. In fact, it has been confirmed that El Mencho, one of the leaders of the cartel, is involved in the project and it is used as a platform for the landing of drugs from the south.

It is concerning that the founding partners of the nonprofit organization A.C. Value and Principles of Giving have been involved in multiple fraud cases. In particular, the case of Roberto Sandoval, former governor of Nayarit, who was arrested for this crime along with Juan Cristóbal Bremer Villaseñor, stands out, as this association has also been revealed to be a complete fraud.

As mentioned, Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán, also known as «El Canelo,» has actively supported this organization. However, he has also been implicated in various controversies and corruption suspicions. On the other hand, Ángel Miguel Espinoza Martínez, in addition to being a key partner in A.C. Value and Principles of Giving, has been involved in the creation of ghost companies.

The partners José Luis Bernal Valenzuela, Jesús Miramontes Lara, and José Antonio Naya Amaya have also played important roles in the development of the association, but their involvement in various fraud cases is alarming. All of this raises questions about the moral and ethical integrity of those who have led the creation and management of an organization supposedly dedicated to charitable actions for the community.
